A Message From Me 📝

HI 👋🏼 I’ve noticed a bunch of new names here these past few weeks and thought it might be time for a reintroduction…

First, WELCOME 💖

I’m Christina — an independent journalist sharing GOOD NEWS, which *I* have defined as positive, purposeful, and/or political.

This has ALWAYS been important, but ESPECIALLY right now — at a time when the news is filled with headlines about escalating wars, prices, and hate.

While it’s important to stay informed (and, as this past weekend showed us, involved), it’s possible to do that in a more positive way.

And that’s what I try to do here:

❌ The president cuts benefits?

✅ Highlight the leaders stepping in to help!

❌ Local troops headed to the Middle East?

✅ Talk to their families back home!

❌ Thousands of people losing their jobs?

✅ Showcase small businesses still hiring!

There’s almost always a positive way to “spin” stories — while still being truthful — and that’s what I try to do here.

(And also cover sports — the PEOPLE side of them. Another thing that gives us a lot to cheer about here in the Midwest 🥳)

But here’s where I need your help…

I take no money from Facebook ads (because they don’t let you opt out of “ICE” ads and other government propaganda), so I rely on this community of followers to support my work.

This IS my full-time job, (and I hope you’ve seen by now just how much time I pour into it — 7 days/week). I don’t put any news behind a paywall because I believe the people that often NEED to see it most WON’T pay.
